Final grades came out today:
Well, this is it folks! This is what I've been working so hard for...
SHA-BAM!!!
4.0 BABY! excuse my bragging, but it had to be done! I'm SO excited!!!
However, here's my dose of humble medicine.
I wasn't the best student in the first couple years of school. I struggled with college and I really didn't have the desire to be there. It wasn't until the semester or two before I started my major that I had a change of heart and my grades that semester dramatically improved! I went from an average 2.3 GPA in one semester to a 3.9 GPA the next. That helped set me on the right track.
When I got into my program, I realized how much easier it was to enjoy school when I actually liked what I was studying. duh! who would have thought! My grades never really dipped below a B (I'll admit, I had one B-). As I got closer to graduation, I realized that I wanted to go get my masters. I looked up graduate school requirements and... to my big surprise (not really)... there was a GPA requirement. At least an overall GPA of a 3.0 within the last 60 credit hours. I knew I had to work my tail off in order to graduate above that 3.0... too bad I realized it on my LAST semester! I was at a 2.96. yikes, I know! So, here's to making it above a 3.0!!!!! (barely, but hey... it totally counts)!
